Do you need help in learning how to better visit someone who is homebound, in a hospital, retirement center or nursing home, or otherwise needs a friendly smile and listening ear? If so, you’re invited to come to a special one-time meeting on Sunday, July 26, from 9:45 – 10:40 a.m. in the Family Life Center, Room 225. This time will be led by Pastor Rick Hermansen and Trudy Hoffsommer.
This class is designed to better equip you to show the love of Christ to those who sometimes feel forgotten. Our church has a number of folks who would be encouraged by regular contact and conversation. You can pray for them and with them. You can demonstrate genuine interest in their lives. During your visit or contact, you may learn of specific requests for the church body or practical needs where we can provide assistance.
Jesus said, “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love for one another” (John 13:35 NIV). He modeled that love in how he cared for His disciples by being clearly, “hands on.” Let’s do the same. Let’s show we care! Come on July 26 to learn more.
