Learning the Bible from Seminaries We Know

Recently, I received some information from Dallas Theological Seminary. DTS President Mark Bailey presented three strategic initiatives they offer believers to “grow strong in their knowledge of the Bible and learn to boldly share truth with their friends, coworkers and peers.”

First, they offer The Table Podcast, which breaks down complex issues of our world through a biblical worldview. Second, they provide their Faith and Work Initiative to help people better understand how to proclaim their faith and use their God-given gifts at work for God’s glory. Third, they offer seven (and soon to be eight) free, online courses for anyone to take at their own pace, and on their own time. You can access this information at the seminary website: www.dts.edu. Click on the “Media” link to see these resources.

I also discovered that Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois offers some free, online videos that cover portions of the Bible, and topics of special interest for Christians in today’s world. You can find these media/resources and videos by going to: www.divinity.tiu.edu.

Both of these schools are near and dear to my heart. We have current pastors, and many former pastors who have attended and graduated from these schools. The courses, podcasts and videos they offer us can make a real difference in our learning, growing and sharing the precious faith we’ve been entrusted with. Take a look for yourself!
