The celebration of our Lord’s resurrection is the high point of the Christian year. In what has been called “the most important chapter of the Bible,” 1 Corinthians 15 connects the believer’s resurrection with that of Christ. This is what we celebrate on Easter Sunday.
The good news of Easter is that we do not need to fear death, or deny it. We can face death with the confidence that our Lord has defeated it!
So with that confidence we will come together to sing and rejoice on Easter Sunday. Our Metropolitan musicians, choir, orchestra, and praise team are preparing glorious music. My message will be centered on the theme: “Surely This Was the Son of God.”
A special feature of our Easter celebration this year will be a fellowship time for everyone to enjoy in the Family Life Center gymnasium from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. Refreshments will be served. It will be a good time to meet new friends and greet old friends.
The 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. services will be identical with traditional and contemporary music offered in both of them. Invite a friend to come to worship the Lord as we celebrate the new life He offers us through the power of His resurrection.
