Class Begins Wednesday, August 31
Metropolitan has offered DivorceCare for 20+ years. When a ministry has been around for that length of time, it is so easy to overlook it…to take it for granted. I hope that each of you will renew your support for this vital ministry and support us through prayer.
This Christ-centered curriculum/support group has provided hope and support to dozens of people over the years. Here are some comments from a few of them.
There are at least a dozen reasons I would recommend DivorceCare. But the two reasons I kept going after the daunting first meeting were simple. It gave me a place to be broken without judgment and allowed me a place to hear and be heard. Building lasting friendships and taking the time to heal with the support of DivorceCare was the best gift I could have given myself. –Heather
The DC class helped me to know why I felt the way I did and why – that I was not alone, and it was not all my fault. I was supported and encouraged every time. –Lisa
When I was first divorced, I wasn’t sure where to turn, and God led me to the DivorceCare class. I was so nervous and felt ashamed like I had done something wrong. I worked up the courage, and the first few minutes found out He led me there to show me I wasn’t alone and others were going through the same thing. I have met some of the greatest people and the best friends I could ask for by taking the chance of walking through that door to DivorceCare. The class was a true blessing from God and got me through so much. I will never be ever to thank the church enough. –Jeremy
If you or someone you know is going through a separation or divorce, please refer them to our ministry. We would love to help them through this horribly painful time and point them to the Source of real healing. Join us on Wednesdays in FLC 130 at 6:45 p.m.
