A Fun Night of Bowling

About 35-40 people from Metropolitan enjoyed an evening of bowling and fellowship together. You can see by these photos we had a good time. Last Friday night young and old rolled their best balls down the lane. Some were strikes and spares, and a few ended up in the gutters. Regardless, it was a great […]

September 11 – October 30 Y-WAM stands for Youth Worship Arts Ministry.  Metropolitan has some incredible students that are equipped and excited to share their faith in Jesus Christ. “Y-WAM” is one avenue/ministry by which 6th-12th grade students can express their faith through the arts (music, drama, etc.) as a unit – a team. He wrote, “If I not only seek an answer but seek after the God who gives the answer, then I receive the power to know […]

Straw Hat Camp

I went to Straw Hat Camp this year to help supervise 32 kids, and to watch over two grandsons’ first time at church camp. I was hoping they would have a great time, and praying that God would significantly impact their lives for Jesus Christ. Little did I know what God had in store for […]

Something We All Can Do

“I want my church to grow!” This statement, overheard occasionally in hallways and classrooms, lurks in all of our hearts. If we want Metropolitan to grow, there is something each of us can do to help make it happen. We can make friends with people and invite them. The majority of people who visit churches […]
