Christmas Eve Service

Next Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m, you are invited to attend a Christmas Eve service of worship at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Invite and bring your friends and neighbors, too. If past experience is a good indicator, then we expect that our time together will prove to be wonderful and meaningful in worship of the Savior.

Help! Police!

Help is on the way! Beginning the first Sunday in January we will have a uniformed police officer in and around our buildings before, during and after our services. This upgrade in our security will especially be focused on the safety of our children, but will provide protection and help for all of us.

On-Line Giving Using Credit Cards

Last week, we announced on-line giving through our website beginning January 1, 2015. The announcement included the acceptance of credit and debit cards as well as your bank account as sources for on-line contributions. Our Finance Committee and the Deacon Board carefully considered whether or not to allow the use of credit cards.

Ladies’ Spring Bible Studies

The study of God’s Word will be in full swing beginning in mid-January for the women of Metropolitan. Four studies are being offered – one on Wednesdays, and three on Thursdays. Connie Faulkner will lead a study through the updated edition of Linda Dillow’s Creative Counterpart on Thursdays, beginning January 15, 2015, at 9:30 a.m.

Music Minister Search Is Continuing

We have received resumes from eleven excellent ministers of music who have been recommended to us. We have contacted Christian colleges and seminaries to let them know of our need for a music minister. We have been told that other names of potential candidates will be given to us soon.
