Ladies' Ministry Meeting

It will be our privilege to welcome David Flynn as guest speaker for our annual Summer Missions Day on Sunday morning, July 13. Our church has partnered with David and his wife, Elizabeth, for several years in their important ministry with the Center for Mission Mobilization and the Perspectives course. David graduated from Nyack College in 1986 with a B.S.

July 3rd Celebration

The Singles Ministry is hosting a cookout at 6:30 p.m.on Thursday evening, July 3, as a way to kick off this important holiday weekend. Tim Burroughs is hosting this event at 6220 N. Warren (Warren is just east of Meridian – turn south off of 63rd).

Improving Facilities for God's Glory

The 21st century is requiring us to take a fresh look at our facilities and schedule in light of the expectations of today’s young families. The millennial generation, those young adults born after 1980, are becoming parents. They are buying houses in the neighborhoods near our church campus.

Lighted Roads

One of the earliest verses I memorized as a child was “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). I knew that meant the Word of God was important; but as a child, I really only comprehended the literal importance of light and not much more.  When I was about ten years old, one of my friends and I decided to walk from her home in town out to my home in the country. The distance was 1.5 miles and most of it was along a remote stretch of blacktop.

New Interim Music Director Appointed

We are all thankful for the influence and spiritual service of Paul Purifoy. We can never forget the blessing he has brought to our lives by his excellent leadership in music, his contagious enthusiasm, and his positive example of a life lived for Christ. Last Sunday’s tribute to him was a great send-off and encouragement to him and Margaret.

Strange Fire

What would God say about those who blatantly misrepresent His Holy Spirit? Who exchange true worship for chaotic fits of mindless ecstasy? Who replace the biblical gospel with vain illusions of health and wealth?
